Chocolate Cake Recipe

 Are You a Chocolate Cake Lover? Here's a recipe for a classic Chocolate Cake:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot water



Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  3. In another mixing bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

  5. Gradually pour in the hot water and mix until the batter is smooth and well combined.

  6. Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans.

  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre of the cakes comes out clean.

  8. Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes.

  9. Carefully remove the cakes from the pans and transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

  10. Once the cakes have cooled, you can frost and decorate them as desired.
